About us

Established in 1967, we are the only archery club in the Cardiff area with its own 18 meter/20 yards indoor and up to 100 yards outdoor shooting ranges that can be used all year round. The club building comprises of a range with up to 12 shooting lanes, a seated and standing spectator area, tea and coffee bar, and a toilet. There is disabled access throughout.

We are a warm, welcoming and friendly club, and our aim is to enjoy (the emphasis is on enjoy!) the sport of archery in its various disciplines. Our members shoot longbow, recurve barebow, recurve freestyle, compound bow and a few other more exotic bows.

Our Mission Statement

Llandaff City Bowmen is an Archery Club. Registered with the Charities Commissioners’ for England and Wales under Registration No. 1169666, and as such, is a non-profit making Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

Our aim is the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation by the provision of facilities and opportunities for the pursuit of the sport of target archery.

All surplus funds raised through membership fees, tournaments and courses are used to repair/purchase equipment, repair and maintain the club’s range building and grounds, and to generally improve the facilities for its members and the community.
